Pharaoh Hound: Breed Finalist – The “Violet” Challenge Trophy a bronze sculpture by Leslie Hutto, in honor of NFC DC Hallam’s Essence of Violet, MC LCX6 (2004-2018) is offered by Dominic Palleschi Carota and Stephen Sipperly of Hallam Hounds to the Finalist representing the Pharaoh Hound Breed at the AKC Annual NLCC. To be awarded the trophy must be won by the same owner (not necessarily the same dog) three times. The annual
Breed finalist will receive a Pharaoh Hound Medallion and their name and their dogs name will be inscribed on a coordinating plaque. The trophy will remain in the possession of the donors until won.

Whippet: High Scoring Dual Champion – Woodbury Pewter Revere Bowl on Wooden Base in Memory of Ch. Hound Hill Classical Rag JC, CD, CGC, ROM, Donated by Susan Bolduc. This trophy will be awarded to the Highest Scoring Dual Champion (HSDC) Whippet (Combined Preliminary and Final Scores both days). All Whippets entered in the HSDC Stake at the NLCC will qualify to compete for this trophy. At the end of day 2 and before the Breed Finalists runs begin, the HSDC Whippet will be calculated. If there is a clear HSDC above all Whippets entered In the HSDC Stake this trophy will be awarded to that dog and there will be no runoff for the Trophy. If there is a tie for the High Scoring Whippet entered In the HSDC Stake there will be a random draw of all of these tied dogs and run off. This run will be scored as with the NLCC by the 4 judges. Highest score wins. If a dog qualifies as a Breed Finalist for the NLCC and this dog is tied to run for the HSDC Whippet
Trophy, the owner/handler must decide if they want to run for this Trophy or not. If the owner decides not to run for the HSDC trophy, that dog would forfeit the trophy.

All Breed: High Scoring Dual Champion: “Flatout” – by Mary Driscoll, Bronze whippet on Oak Wooden Base in Memory of SBIS AM/Can CH Strebor’s Energize LCM, CGC, Donated by Charles R Roberts—Strebor Whippets. This trophy will be awarded to the Highest Scoring Dual Champion (HSDC) amongst all breeds (Combined Preliminary and Final Scores both days). All Hounds entered in the HSDC Stake at the NLCC will qualify to compete for this trophy. At the end of day 2 and before the Breed Finalists runs begin, the HSDC scores will be calculated. If there is a clear HSDC above all Hounds of all breeds entered In the HSDC Stake this trophy will be awarded to that dog and there will be no runoff for the Trophy. If there is a tie for the High Scoring Hound entered In the HSDC Stake there will be a random draw of all of these tied dogs and run off. This run will be scored as with the NLCC by the 4 judges. Highest score wins. If a dog qualifies as a Breed Finalist for the NLCC and this dog is tied to run for the HSDC Trophy, the owner/handler must decide if they want to run off for this Trophy or not.
